Used to enjoy or should I say appreciate shopping at the Patchogue store...but lately I find some issues unacceptable.
You can be in and out, you can be stuck there for a LONG time. It all depends on the time you hit it. There is not method to the madness. It is dumb luck. .. . HOWEVER. .. . Prices, can not be beat. If you spend even 5 minutes a week clipping coupons only for what you get any ways, sign up for their "card" (just use your phone number) and you aren't brand loyal. You can save huge and groceries are cheap. I've gotten 60% off groceries before not even trying to coupon.
Honestly love this place, as a man judging a grocery store live that is rare haha. They just have a really good selection for just about anything and they are wayyy cheaper than places like king kullen!
The store director is amazing. He is so polite and respectful. He has truly made a this supermarket a great place to shop. Thank Mr. Nicholas Desetto.
Restocking for many item are not appearing....pet items, frozen food items, SR 2/$5 brown eggs, mayonnaise, pasta, etc...I usually go to store 2 or 3 times a week so it's not like its an odd day....produce dept I find less than ok Bananas, tomatoes, etc...and various other fruits and vegetables....don't know if products are not being ordered or if they are sitting out in the trucks waiting to be off loaded....just wish things would be better....maybe retraining or hiring more staff....good luck.
the store is huge and everything, but alot of the employees seemed really annoyed to be there.. i went to cash in water bottles at the machine and after 5 of them it needed to be emptied and so i went inside to ask for someone to empty it and there was like 5 young male employees all standing right in front of the entrance talking were annoyed i interrupted their conversation when i said excuse me. i said to them do you think you could call for someone to empty the recycling machine because they're all full and there's 3people who're waiting in line behind me. they were annoyed, one rolled their eyes and when I was walking away the one kid said this is f**king ridiculous, i just emptied that thing, these people really need the 5 damn cents from a damn bottle ".. but he did come out to empty the machine. he was mad because his hands got sticky and then he threw the bag and slammed the door to the machine. the pharmacy department was really nice, when I walked over near the pharmacy counter, they right away asked me how I was and if I needed any help. the customer service counter was really busy, and the woman working behind the counter asked for help and no one came. yet there was a bunch of employees standing to the side of the counter talking and hanging out as if they didn't hear her. she picked up the phone and we all could hear her talking to someone and apologizing for being late (she told the customer she was helping that a family member was stuck on the side of the road and she was supposed to leave a half hour ago to go help them but couldn't leave) and when someone finally came to help her they were annoyed too!! but there is a few employees that were very nice and helpful but there's more that are annoyed.
